Linux Mint 11, which is expected by the end of May will not come with GNOME 3, like Clem said in a comment a while back, but Gnome 2.32 with the traditional Linux Mint desktop (no Unity)

Linux Mint 11 comes with Gnome 2.32, the traditional Linux Mint desktop layout, mintMenu and the same desktop elements featured in previous releases.

Compiz is installed by default and so is fusion-icon, which lets you switch easily between Compiz and Metacity.

This was somewhat expected since Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu and the only way to use GNOME 3 in Ubuntu 11.04 is by using a PPA. Which I guess it wouldn’t have been such a big issue since the PPA is semi-official, however, the GNOME 3 PPA is unstable for now and in no way suited for being used by default on a Linux distribution.
